Where to Find Promega UK and Ireland Online (And Why It Is Worth Your While)
You probably already know us for our reagents, our instruments, and our technical support team. Our social media channels are an extension of that. They provide useful, active spaces where you can stay connected with the things that matter to your research: new products, webinars, case studies, troubleshooting tips, and the occasional moment of solidarity when lab life does not go to plan.
Here is a quick guide to where we are and what you will find on each channel. There is more going on than you might expect! Yes, we know those little icons are down there and on emails etc. We know you have seen them possibly, but this is our formal invitation to actually click one.
LinkedIn is our most professionally focused channel and a great place to stay up to date with everything Promega UK and Ireland are doing. We post regularly about items such as new products, upcoming webinars, events, and case studies from researchers who use our products.
We also publish a monthly newsletter, Promega Preview, which brings together the highlights from the previous month in one place, with information about products, events, webinars, blogs and anything else worth knowing about. If you prefer a digest to a feed, it is well worth subscribing.

Instagram is where things get a little more fun. Yes, we post about webinars and scientific content here too, but we also have Lumie.
Lumie is our bioluminescent mascot, and she has a personality all of her own. She has been spotted at international conferences, sending strongly worded letters to algorithms, wearing football kits, touring the world (she gets around more than most of us), and filing complaints about being told to stop messing around in the lab. She is, in her own words, a lab member who just needs a coat.
Beyond Lumie, our Instagram is where we love to collaborate. If you are a scientist or researcher who would like to work with us on a post, sharing your work, your lab, or your story, we would genuinely love to hear from you. Our Facebook pages cover much of the same ground as LinkedIn but in a slightly more relaxed style. Product news, webinar announcements, events, and the occasional bit of Lumie content for those who follow us across more than one channel. If Facebook is where you tend to keep an eye on the life sciences world, we are there too.

YouTube
Our YouTube channel is packed with genuinely useful content and well worth a visit. We have a growing library of case study videos featuring researchers talking about their own work and how Promega products fit into it from real scientists, in real labs, talking about real results. Alongside the case studies, we also publish short "what is" and "how to" videos covering everything from technology explainers to practical tips for getting the most out of our assays and instruments. If you are ever trying to explain bioluminescence to a new lab member, or wondering whether a particular product fits your workflow, the answer might already be on our channel. Our technical services team’s videos about Maxwell® are always popular every month, with a walkthrough from unpacking to troubleshooting.
Our Irish customers are welcome here too. Promega Ireland does not have a separate YouTube channel, so the UK channel is your home for video content.

Yes, we are on TikTok. Our TikTok channel is run by our UK interns and is all the better for it. Full of energy, creativity, and genuinely great science communication with a lighter touch. Of course, we welcome our Irish colleagues here too, alongside our UK followers.

Bluesky
We are building our Bluesky presence, but if you have migrated there and are looking for life sciences content in your feed, come and find us. Short, timely posts about products, events, and news. We are always happy to connect with scientists finding their feet on the platform. As with TikTok and YouTube, Irish customers should follow our UK Bluesky account as we do not have a separate Irish channel there currently.
