Promega ‘Trick or Treat’ Halloween Game | Terms and Conditions Halloween 2025

By participating in the Promega UK or Promega Ireland ‘Trick or Treat’ Halloween game and related promotions, the participant accepts the following terms and conditions of participation.

The Promega UK ‘Trick or Treat’ Halloween Game is open to all customers of the legal entity of Promega UK Ltd (including Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) aged 18 or over who are based in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. Employees of the legal entity of Promega UK Ltd (from herein referred to as Promega UK), as well as members of their families, are excluded from the game. Promega UK reserves the right to exclude persons or organisations from participating in the game.

The game will take place from Monday 27 October to Friday 31 October 2025. Promega UK will post a daily ‘trick or treat’ game on its Instagram channels (Promega_UK or PromegaIreland) on a daily basis, subject to any unforeseen circumstances, in which case Promega UK will post any missing post(s) as soon as feasibly possible. 

Participants must visit our social media channels to join in with the daily game and take part.

Participants will need to screenshot either the ‘trick’ or ‘treat’ card and then share to their own Instagram Story, tagging Promega_UK or PromegaIreland (as applicable) to be eligible. Participants landing on a ‘trick’ card must answer the accompanying question in order to qualify for the prize draw. Participants landing on a ‘treat’ card will automatically be entered into the prize draw.

All ‘Trick or Treats’ must have been completed and shared on Instagram stories by Friday 31 October 2025. Entries submitted after Friday 31 October 2025 will not be eligible for a prize.

A prize draw will be conducted from among all participants on a daily basis for all qualifying entries. The winner of the draw will be notified by Instagram Direct Message on the next working day (for example Monday’s winner will be notified on Tuesday, with Friday’s winner notified on Monday). If the winner does not respond within 7 days of receiving the notification, Promega UK reserves the right to re-draw a winner. If for any reason we cannot send a notification, such as Instagram being unavailable, Promega UK will send the notification as soon as feasibly possible. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure they can receive Direct Messages on Instagram.  

Participation is free of charge – no purchase is required. Prizes will be delivered to an address in the UK or Ireland, as agreed with the winner and Promega UK Limited. Only eligible participants who enter within the specified timeframe and provide all the required data during the registration process will be eligible for the prize draw.

Payment of the prize value in cash, exchange, or transfer of rights to the prize to third parties is excluded. It is the participant's responsibility to provide the correct address. Promega UK does not guarantee the correctness of the published names of the winners.

Winning goods are covered by the manufacturer's warranty unless other information is provided.

Should any prize items contain food it is up to the recipient to take responsibility for food related allergies.

By taking part in the competition, the participant agrees that Promega UK will save the necessary data for the purpose of administering the competition for the duration of the competition and a reasonable period thereafter. Participants have the right to revoke their consent at any time, thus cancelling their participation in the competition. Promega UK Limited will not disclose any personal data of the participant to third parties, except where necessary for the fulfilment and delivery of prizes.

Promega UK reserves the right to change the rules of the Trick or Treat Halloween Game, participation conditions, and prize draws at any time without giving prior notice or reasons.

Every effort will be taken to deliver the prizes as shown, however, Promega UK reserves the right to substitute with gifts of equivalent value and quality should the original gift become unavailable.

Promega UK reserves the right to disqualify any participant reasonably believed to have breached, undermined, or subverted in any way the legitimate operation of this promotion, whether by deceptive or wilful activity or otherwise.

It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that entering this competition does not conflict with internal rules and regulations within their organisation. In particular, the participant warrants that their employer has full knowledge of their participation and has consented thereto. Promega UK cannot be held responsible for any dispute within an organisation regarding who should be allocated the prize, nor can Promega UK be held responsible for any defect in the prize.

By participating in this promotion, the participant agrees to waive all rights to claim against Promega UK and its respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents in respect of any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion (including but not limited to the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize or any component thereof but excluding any death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the legal entity of Promega UK Ltd).

If, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, force majeure, or any other cause beyond the control of Promega UK which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this promotion, Promega UK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion.

The laws of England and Wales will apply to this promotion, and the relevant courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising out of or in connection with this promotion.

The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
